Waterous combined Strath and Cona in August 2020 to form Strathcona with Rob Morgan as CEO. The company then acquired Pengrowth Energy in January 2021. In June 2021, Waterous combined merged Osum Oil Sands into Strathcona after taking control of Osum in April 2021.
