PTT Public Co. Ltd. operates exploration and production fields, pipeline systems, storage terminals, petroleum refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants, and fuel stations. Operations are divided between the Upstream Petroleum & Gas (PTTEP) and Downstream Petroleum business units. The company is controlled by the government of Thailand with common shares listed on the Bangkok (PTT) exchange.
Participations & Explorations (Partex) was founded in 1938 by Calouste Gulbenkian. Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT) was created in 1978 by the Thai government to procure petroleum products for domestic consumption. Following the privatization of the state enterprise Petroleum Authority of Thailand, PTT was established in 2001. In 2012, PTT acquired Sakari Resources and Cove Energy. The company acquired Partex in 2019.
