Daily Mail was founded in 1896 by brothers Alfred and Harold Harmsworth, and a trust was created in 1922 to own the family's newspaper interests. DMGT listed on the London stock exchange in 1932. DMG Events' predecessor was established in 1988, and DMG Information's predecessor was formed in 1990. The group acquired Risk Management Solutions (RMS) in 1998. In 2016, DMGT reduced its stake in Euromoney Institutional Investor form 67% to 49%.
